We're looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Audio Assistant (Sound) to join our Engineering team and begin their journey in broadcast sound engineering.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for audio, live events, music technology, broadcast, or sound engineering who wants to gain hands-on experience working with industry-leading equipment, experienced engineers, and world-class productions.
Whether you've recently completed relevant studies, gained experience in live events, theatre, music production, radio, or have already started your broadcast career, we'll provide the support, training, and development needed to help you progress towards an Audio Engineer role.
As an Audio Assistant, you'll work alongside our experienced Audio Engineers and wider technical teams, helping prepare, deploy, and maintain audio systems used across outside broadcasts and live productions.
You'll gain exposure to all stages of a production, from workshop preparation through to live event delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation, testing, and maintenance of broadcast audio equipment.
- Supporting the setup and de-rig of audio systems on outside broadcasts and live events.
- Learning to configure and operate audio infrastructure within OB trucks and flypack facilities.
- Assisting with cable management, microphone deployment, communications systems, and audio routing.
- Supporting engineers with fault-finding and equipment checks before, during, and after productions.
- Helping maintain equipment to NEP UK standards and ensuring systems are ready for deployment.
- Working closely with engineering, operations, logistics, and production teams.
- Maintaining accurate equipment records and supporting technical documentation.
- Learning industry best practices for broadcast engineering, health and safety, and live production delivery.

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for sound, technology, and live production.
You might currently be working in:
- Live events or venue sound
- Theatre or performance production
- Radio or podcast production
- Music technology or recording environments

- Technical production environments
Or you may have recently completed relevant education and be looking for your first step into the industry.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A strong interest in audio engineering and broadcast technology.
- A basic understanding of audio signal flow and sound systems.
- Good practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel and work varied schedules in support of live productions.
