Job Summary
The Graduate Research Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity for postgraduate students to contribute to innovative research projects within a dynamic academic environment. The position involves supporting faculty members and research teams in data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings. Candidates will gain valuable experience in their field of study while developing essential skills in research methodologies, academic writing, and project management. This paid position is ideal for individuals seeking to deepen their understanding of their discipline and contribute meaningfully to ongoing research initiatives.

Duties

Assist with designing and implementing research experiments and surveys
Collect, organise, and analyse qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate software tools
Conduct literature reviews to support research objectives
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings for internal and external dissemination
Support the organisation of seminars, workshops, and conferences related to research projects
Maintain accurate records of research activities in compliance with institutional standards
Collaborate with faculty members, postgraduate students, and external partners to ensure project milestones are met
Contribute to the drafting of academic papers and grant applications as required

Requirements

Recently graduated from a postgraduate programme relevant to the research area
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in data analysis software such as SPSS, NVivo, or similar tools is desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to research activities
Prior experience with academic research or relevant coursework is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrated interest in advancing knowledge within the specific field of study
