Acuity Care are a kind company with lots of management - who were all very nice - however like many companies, communication was a weak area. For example, my manager was changed within the first few weeks of working there, but I wasn't told about this happening. I just worked it out when I was assigned someone else.
There was LOTS of mandatory training which was useful - using Your Hippo online learning, which is all paid for by the company. Also they sent me on a CPI - crisis prevention - as well as a First Aid training course which are in person and which I got paid half wages for. 

So that's all very useful - although in reality CPI training does not entirely prepare you for real-life crisis intervention as it can be difficult to remember special moves while holding back a very irate client.

Actual working conditions were not as stated in advert - much less outdoor time than stated, much more time at home for client. Felt client's needs were not being fully addressed but this was partly due to his mental state at that time. Management did their best to think of a plan to address this but I felt it might be a long time coming in reality. There is always a gap between what goes on on the ground and in the office.

It is hard to separate out the individual plan from the company - each client will offer a different working experience for the employee. 

So just based on the company alone I'd say that they were fairly ok - but communication could be improved.




What is the best part of working at the company?
The only thing good about this company is that Salary is  reasonable good.
I left my previous company to work for them, although it is zero hour contract I was promised that I would work 3 days a week, but after a few weeks  in the company the manager and team leader wouldn't give any shifts and they wanted me to work every weekend instead of alternative ones, saying that they have to traine  new staff. Since it is zero hour contract they played me around and I was left struggling to make ends meet.
The hours wasn't given fairly between the staff, the team leader  refuses working night and take all sleeping nights.
 Team leader doesn't appreciate her team, the mother of the service user is always anxious because the team leader doesn't pass any assurance to Mum about the team.  The team leader put herself on top and the rest of the team down.   

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
before I  started working,  told them my availabilities which they have accepted. After a while they expected me to work days that I wasn't available.

Have to be every careful, because the team leader loves finding fault

The work itself is pleasant, team leader is fake.

Working with the company has been incredibly rewarding so far. A typical day involves supporting individuals with various needs, building relationships, and making a positive impact on their lives.

I believe I've learned the importance of empathy, patience, and understanding. Management has been supportive, providing guidance and resources to ensure success. The workplace culture is collaborative, fostering teamwork and open communication.

The hardest part of the job is navigating challenging behaviors and emotional situations, requiring resilience and creative problem-solving.

The most enjoyable part is witnessing clients' growth, celebrating small victories, and knowing I've made a difference in their lives. Seeing smiles and hearing stories of progress makes every day worthwhile.

Overall, this role has taught me valuable life skills, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with an amazing team, making a real difference in the lives of others.

Terrible management no support when you need it which causes a lot of stress, things they say they will change to make the job less stressful they don’t fulfill on those promises. Management rarely get back to you when you ask a question, or need helps they ignore message's, calls and emails. I was TUPE over from an amazingly supportive company MCSE to this it’s horrendous company.

Unsupportive management stressful work environment.

Long and stressful with no support from management

Good trainings. I have had the best training with this company than any other

It is a bit like an Agency. They just allocate the shifts.  Some weeks I am at home because of no shifts

It fine. I like it. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Patients with the new staff

Looking after the client. Assisting with personal care, bowel care, meal preparation,  companionship,  ironing, blader wash

The company is still developing which gives lots of opportunity for changing things for the better and generating innovative and creative ideas. It’s never boring and the culture means there are always colleagues who can share their ideas and stories which helps make the workplace more fun.

I have been working for Acuity Care for a year now and whilst it was a bit of a shaky start with management/processes etc., it has definitely progressed in the right direction and is a GREAT place to work. We have flexibility with our work life balance and our managers are understanding. Working in the care industry can be stressful and that is the same at any company but at Acuity Care you have a great support network of colleagues who are always willing to jump in and support. I would recommend Acuity Care to my friends/family.

I love my nights at work and days at work giving my clients  the best i can give them .
I have learned a lot in the years i have worked for the company.
The management are all ways there to give there help when needed.
I    love the culture  of my work place .  
I don't have any hard parts of my job .
The best part of my job is knowing that you are giving the client the best you can .
