BCM charges a fortune for residents to stay at Copelands. Then don’t pay staff enough, they don’t care about staff or residents wellbeing. Money is being funnelled from this project to support other projects inside of investing it back into Copelands for the residents and staff. Budgets are ridiculously low and then they expect people to work for free/give up time outside of work. 
Half the time staff aren’t informed and residents and their families know more about the management of the place than staff

I work for Puddleducks under BCM, a charity. Those in charge seem to have no understanding of what the nursery assistants are dealing with on a daily basis nor do they care or take what we say on board. The nursery staff are paid minimum wage even though they are in 9 hour days, with little support from supervisors. The business seems to be solely money oriented and lacks respect and care for their workers.

Everyday and everything stressed to the max

Very bi*chy and  very quick to jump on you if you make a mistake 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress from you walk in stress when you leave to go home

The staff team and management are naturally respectful and caring toward the children and to each other.  They have a wonderful ethos that "Respectful Care is only Fair".  The senior leadership team within the wider organisation value the work of the team and prioritise the needs of the children and their families over everything else.

Advertising fake jobs.
Went for interview, done IT test, got rejected, it`s OK, but the next day found the same position advertised again.
So a few dozen ppl sent their application forms in, 10 ppl got interviewed and noone is good enough? What is the HR doing then? Would understand bad or not logical decisions from management not experienced in recruiting, but an HR manager??

dissapointed in charity sector...

Overworked, under appreciated and underpaid. Management unapproachable and do not care. You get free lunch and are paid for your break but you never get to actually take it. Team leaders are happy to sit in office while care staff are run off their feet. 

Awful place to work. The pay is shockingly low for how much they expect from you, and you’re constantly overworked. Management is terrible, never communicates, and always keeps staff in the dark. Unsafe practices are common and nobody seems to care. Easily one of the worst jobs I’ve ever had - would not recommend this place to anyone. 

I only work for this company on a voluntary basis for two mornings per week.  The Manager is super to work for and has the time and patience to explain what needs to be done and is great at learning you new things.

Good managers who are fair and supportive 
Good work/life balance and flexibility shown when required 
High standards and expectations but if you’re willing to work well you will be recognised for this 

Hard to support families with large case loads, little guidance from management and no budget to run activities that they want you to do with families.
