We always worked a 12 hour shift , half nights & half day work. The shift was always different as we had many different cargos to handle on the jetty fron , so we were always learning new aspects of the job. In general the management was a little lack luster as we had to get on with the job on our own most off the time , making decisions & adhering to the safety guidelines at all times. To me i think the hardest part of the job was being on youre own for long periods of time , but you do get used to it after a while so wasnt an issue in the end. The best part was taking pride in the work place doing a professional job all the time , i take great pride in doing my job well .

Worst firm i have ever worked for! Bullying from management is overlooked they can do what ever they want! Workforce constantly threatened with dismissal by incompetent managers.
Embarrassed that i work for this joke of a company who do nothing but tell lies!
Would not wish for anyone to work for this company and put up with what its current workforce have to cope with! I have had no positive dealings with this company along with every other member of its current workforce new and old!

Working alongside people earning 50% more is not fun, but they are contractors and paid accordingly. Better than the previous company running the contract, but the same old equipment (owned by the refinery) is used. PPE quantity and quality is good and Team is good, just a few outspoken idiots wanting to go on strike

Management are nothing but bullies. Each employee are treated as Numbers. As soon as your face doesn't fit because you said no to one overtime shift you'll be treated like a dog so you leave. We have had a 75% turn over in staff. On the job senior coxswains (supervisor)  do nothing but make the job harder. 

Moral in the team is at an all time low, a toxic work environment created by the management team.

Lack of respect at work, poor communication and management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely terrible   If you want to work for a company that values integrity, honesty and respect…keep walking   Worse company I’ve ever worked at

- The management are poison riddled bullies.
- The training for new starters is an absolute joke.
- Your not allowed to have an opinion or express your ideas.
- If your not liked by the employees who have been there years and “know everything” then they make up a ploy to get you out.
- Shift pattern is horrible.
- You get black marked if you don’t do overtime. 

DONT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!

Treated by management as though we are children, no confidence whatsoever in the management, 8 months past your pay anniversary and still waiting for our pay rise, moral in the department at an all time low, a toxic work environment created by the management, out of the 3 companies I have worked for doing this job, Briggs are by a country mile the worst..

Management treat employees like dirt on their shoes. Every notice on the board threatens disciplinary action. Company has developed a culture of fear in what was a very comfortable career. Worked for some bad companies before, but this is the worst.

A lack of staff puts considerable stress on employees. When offered the position the conditions and pay were a lot less than those advertised.
Would not have taken the job if I had known the true facts. 


Very long days 8-5 with the option of 2 days WFH which is frowned upon. No training given as not enough staff to carry out any training, your left to find your own feet. Most colleagues feel the same.
