I have progressed through several job roles since starting at Castle Point Borough Council and have learnt so many things along the way. I have been supported throughout my time here and enjoy working here. My day to day role can be challenging but I have been given the skills to learn and am supported well by my line manager. The culture and the people that work here are what has made me stay so long as some of the people that I work with on a day to day are incredible. I have learnt so much from them and also had some really good times. 

This firm is nothing like it used to be. The pay and workloads are ridiculous.
The management have NO interest in the welfare of the workers and frequently break H+S rules as well as policy to suite their needs.
I'm getting out while I still can!

good employer, reasonable hours and pay. some chances to progress if training is available. would recommend joining a union though as contracts can be short and get changed before renewing again.

Good place to work. Gained lots of experience. Hardest part of the job is that some days unit can get quiet and boring. Enjoyable part of the job is the relaxed and social environment.

Had a great work experience at Castle Point Borough Council, gaining insight into how the housing department works. Which have further developed my interpersonal skills .

Physical job always on your feet time goes fast  good crew. Can be non stop though and very little breaks. Normally finish around 2-3 pm
Can drain your energy fast especially if your first time 

Seem to be still stuck in the old culture, pay does not reflect experience. Too many Old Schoolers in management jobs. Not enough progression and too many employees who do repetitive jobs

I highly recommend Castle Point Active as a place to work. There are so many opportunities to develop across all areas of Recreation. I have learnt so much over my 3 years here so far.

Good work the work here is varied and fun. There are lots of people who will welcome you into the team. Managers are on the whole helpful some other lifeguards are not good
