CharityLink are a fabulous company. From recruitment to the week-long academy induction, to the 12 week academy support and ongoing management support, they were excellent throughout.

You will be helping a well-known charity achieve its aims and will therefore have considerable job satisfaction. You are not boxed in by four walls, you will get fitter and most of the public you meet are respectful and polite. 

The base rate is good and bonus structure excellent, you will get out what you put in. Earning 40k+ is achievable, with many fundraisers exceeding that. 

I left because the physical challenges were just a little too much after an injury, plus an unusually hot spring/summer added to that. But would love to give it another go at some stage.

Charity Link is the most supportive and welcoming business I have worked for. From the moment I started I was made to feel part of the team. 

The recruitment process was stress-free and the recruiter I spoke with made me feel so at ease. 

My manager, and senior managers within the business are super approachable, and encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, but are there to guide you every step of the way. There is lots of opportunity to get stuck in on various projects if you want to. 

Everyone is is engaged and enthusiastic. The work/life balance is perfect. There is loads of support available if you need it from the managers or from the HR team.

Having worked for big corporates in the past and not knowing what to expect from this industry I am pleasantly surprised.  The pleasure of going to work knowing you're helping a good cause is paired with a great salary. If you don't like driving and being rejected then it's probably not the job for you.  The company are 100% behind you with a comprehensive training package and ongoing coaching support.  The option for job progression is very much available and within 3 years of working here I have earned a promotion.  Management are supportive and very willing to listen to improving work life. All in all I would highly recommend both the company and roles available.    

What is the best part of working at the company?
No best parts other than you can work on your own on occasion 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Run ragged no pattern with the area’s worked all over the place. Felt like yiu was just a number.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was toxic on occasion due to a few members of staff that intimidate you so they could dominate the sales.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Better when I worked on my own the manager left you to it provided you hit your target

It starts with the management, and fails to get out of the gutter from there, the managers on all levels are a joke forever using intimidation and bullying to try and get more from you, whilst doing nothing themselves. If you seriously don’t want to enjoy life or are sick of your family work here, because your life won’t be your own anymore. 
Get paid for forty hours work actually do closer to sixty and even more sometimes, and then get reprimanded for failing to hit target in awful venues. Promises when starting of targets that are supposedly easy to achieve, in truth you may as well whistle Dixie

Poor management & decision making not understanding, bad attitude, negative behaviour, when you have covering manager with bad attitude negative way of work poor decision making they don't want other managers work, not really ready to give someone a chance to improve within couple weeks of the job, ready to dismiss colleague without giving them a chance not long enough probation, ready to end in within couple of week, please follow your probation of 3 months! setting collueges up for failure, The hr and back office are very nice no bad word toward them. 

Essentially, in my opinion, Charity Link is a company being run into the ground. There are a select number of "Manager's" who are earning huge sums of money for doing very little and demonstrating absolutely no business acumen or strategic planning whatsoever. It is a shame as there are some great people there who are just being marginalised and demotivated on a daily basis.

Having worked  for charity link for around 5 years, it have been a pleasure working here, always getting looked after by management and HR, very flexible times as well,  you have to be self motivated individual, as sometimes you are working alone! But there is always someone to call if you need help. 
 
Most enjoyable part of the job is having amazing conversations will the member of the public and helping the charity’s reach there goal! 



In my current role I am a co-ordinator for the North West area of the UK. This consists of sourcing venues to successfully raise awareness for the charities we support, organising logistics to ensure a smooth end product and supporting the operations team in the field. I make sure that the area is commercially strong each and manage all administration tasks for my area. My role is very varied offering support to the wider business when necessary

Duties include franking mail, processing grant application forms, opening and sorting mail, supporting administration team, photocopying, shredding documents, filing, cash handling, dealing with reception and telephone enquiries, data entry, preparing grant application packs, updating client database, distributing vouchers to customers in receipt of support and typing letters.
