Dove were an ok company to work for and I would go back in the future, most the clients are lovely. Having said that there are stressful parts to working for Dove, adding calls they say are down the road that are in fact a 20 minute drive, leaving large gaps between calls or leaving no travel time at all. In the end you do learn to start calls earlier to make up for travel time unfortunately not all clients like this which can be difficult.
Dove complain about carers not wanting to work weekends but don't offer a higher pay rate for weekends!

As an ex worker in this agency I noticed that it needs improvement in organising the info about new clients. 
Also the communication between work colleagues is very poor. So when you go to a new client you don't know what to expect, basically you learn while you are there. 
The worst experience that I had with management was the fact that I was put to work from 8am to 8pm in a hospital during 2 weeks straight. I didn't had time to make my home tasks, it was literally work-home-sleep-repeat.
Although after all, I learned a lot with this experience which gave me essential skills for other job positions that came up afterwards.

Good flexibility around personal life and other commitments, however constantly bombarded with calls and emails asking to cover shifts or help on days off, can be pushy or text to ask you to phone office thinking you’ve done something wrong when it’s just to ask if you can cover. 
Calls are 15 & 30 minutes mainly with some hourly calls and few long sits. They have wake hours available also. Bare in mind though you don’t get paid hourly, if you’re put on 15 min calls you only get paid for the 15 minutes and not for travel time either although you do get mileage. 
Pay is fortnightly which is good. 

I had a work related accident because Dove Home Care didn´t provide right equipment at my workplace. They may be kind but they will never support you in case of any difficulties. They base your holiday pay on your last 12 weeks so if you worked for 9 months, but you been on a break for the last 12 weeks, you will get nothing from them. It was a terrible experience working for this company.

I have gone back to work for them twice . And if I decide my new career path isn't for me I will return again . Like all Dom companies they are short staffed and will always try and get you to do more calls. I found that if the work load is to much the management are very approachable. The have high standards of care and will always do the best for the client and the staff. But it is a care company , but the best one around 

As I work remotely it can be lonely at times.I had already learned my job before joining this company.Dove does mandatory training every six months.I have done care work for a lot off years so care work comes easy to me.The most enjoyable part off my job is making my clients comfortable.giving reassurance,talking to my client,and making sure that all their care needs are met

What is the best part of working at the company?
Service users lovely to work with. Left hours went down, gaps between calls sometimes waiting for 45 to 1 hour before next visit.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management trying to add extra calls on app without calling

Management are approachable and supportive, make the day very enjoyable. Its nice to make a difference and have a purpose at work. the job is very rewarding and management recognise and appreciate hard work

Really enjoy working for Dove, Office team are great. Clients are all lovely.  I would highly recommend working here to anyone.  They even supplied me with a car. 

Excellent company to work for. Always take care of their staff and their needs. Would definatley recommend to anyone looking for work in the care sector.
