The working environment is toxic.  The HR manager shows favouritism towards certain members of staff and is very unapproachable.  You cannot speak with the partners directly.  The atmosphere in the office is unpleasant and there is very much a cliquey workplace culture which the HR manager encourages.  Working there severely affected my health and really knocked my confidence.  They favour staff who are incompetent and treat loyal members of staff with contempt.  I wouldn’t recommend working here if you are a hardworking and conscientious individual as you won’t be valued or get the recognition you deserve.

The long hours and the stressful nature of the job.

Hard work and respect is a must to succeed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long and demanding but also rewarding.

Poor leadership, lack of direction and no investment in staff. Management only care about what time you arrive/leave, productivity is irrelevant. 

Friendly co-workers who help each other wherever they can. Limited opportunities for progression/development as management are too busy to mentor any staff.

Colleagues were very nice but many have now left as a result of the above.

Very professional, fast paced and frankly I have no negative words at all.  
There was never a negative day always positive energy.  
The most enjoyable part of the job was the willingness to teach and grow.  Management is strong stern yet open minded to any suggestion or situation. This is one very strong TEAM.

Working at Emin read can be very stressful at times and they dont pay enough with the amount of work you’re expected to do. They hire people with no experience, only train you for a short period of time and then get annoyed when you make mistakes. When one of the partners (non-solicitor) decides he doesn’t like you, you will not be able to enjoy working there. If you’re sick you’re expected to make up the hours.

If you are prepared to put the work in then the firm will reward. 
I have found at this firm I have been given the right balance of being in control of my work and having the support from the partners when I need it.
The people at the office are great, it’s a lovely group of knowledgeable people who all work hard and are friendly. 

Long hours, hard work. Paid overtime. Mixture of people within the company. Rarely saw or spoke to the owners of the company. Little training given so general experience needed to work here.

A really great place to work. Friendly, helpful and interactive team with lots to offer. Great experience all round and highly recommend. A fantastic opportunity to progress.
