Most welcoming staff I’ve ever come across in a job before. The staff are lovely and very supportive of each other but all have the same complaints. Too much work to do in not enough time. Management are lazy and hand the calls over to the staff that are already up to their eyeballs in their own work. No breaks some days when staff have been on for 11+ hours that day. 
High turnover of staff which I think is to do with some staff throwing others under the bus at any moment because they’ve got nothing better to do than talk about others to make themselves look better. 

Most residents are lovely but some do treat the place like a care home “independent living” is what it’s meant to be but it’s far from it for those on care. Constant calls to complain about little things not being done or their water needing topped up etc. 
The calls are anywhere between 15mins - 3hrs so take that as you will. 

Overall it is a good place to work, especially for nights as it’s easy work. Working days you are paid per call not for the hours you are working.


There is nothing to suggest this place is a charity it whiffs of hotel, even have a nosey receptionist who knows everyones business.There are many lovely residents but thier opinion is rarely listened to or considered .Work mostly office based and the politics and unkindness between staff is awful.I learnt how to use the photocopier!!! Management were poor, really didn't want to know and pointed fingers quite often.Lots of back biting and unkindness.Hardest things were not being heard when trying to use voice in order to support residents and working a ridiculous shift 4pm until 9pm because manager thought it a good idea that staff are visible at that time.Best thing was going home.

Going by the book management had no idea about how to deal with normal people, refused to be flexible or reasonable. No support whatsoever of any kind, you're on your own, trying to survive there in a hostile environment with petty, small minded staff. The whole company looks after their interests only, and doesn't care about their service users, shamefully wasting their money. Very badly run place to live, where everything's broken, shabby and very smelly... I would never recommend anyone to go and live in their places or work for them! 

Minimal training provided. We spent most of the day waiting for management to return. There was a lack of communication and support from the office. They also don't give you access to workplace policies and procedures but use them against you very quickly. Staff do not get paid for driving time or mileage. Team leaders spend most of their time in the office and don't seem to have time to talk most of the time. 'Rolling rotas' constantly change!

This company takes 10% off your wage each month and nobody seems to know why. They fail to mention this throughout  the entire interview and induction training process. They call you constantly to cover extra shifts and when you request  time off they ignore your calls/emails. You receive your rota for the following week on a Friday evening when the office is closed should you need to discuss. Very unprofessional company to work for. 

Management was not ideal. Staffing levels were constantly changing and left us as team leaders in impossible situations to cover calls. Constantly told we should be getting our work done but that was impossible as we had to take on the carers jobs to cover calls as we were understaffed. So much stress in the end I had to leave for my mental health. It could have been a dream job. Instead it was the most stress I've ever experienced 

Great care team, often support each other. Independant living that sometimes feels more like a care home. Fast pace in some calls, doesn't always seem to be enough time to perform tasks required. Although advertised as no experience needed, it is. You will only be shadowed for a few shifts and senior staff are often busy themselves and not always available  for support when needed. 

It’s a beautiful place don’t get me wrong, and some people there do have good hearts. But the company, hellllll to the no. The lack of communication is appalling. The managing, is not good (there’s only 1 good manager there) out of how many!! You won’t be appreciated there. If your face don’t fit, then good luck. That’s all I can say. I’ve never worked for a place like that and I never will want to again. I came to work to start a career, this made me want to end it!

Was ok place to work ,not much training I did 3 days only instead of 1week, very stressful and no help from management,never saw a wageslip as link didn't work management did nothing to help ,when leaving they take ages to do reference 

learned how to work under pressure when the shop was busy. Made new friends and worked well as a team. managed the shop floor making sure of the safety regulations.
The hardest part of the job was the lifting and carrying all donations upstairs. Found the job very rewarding knowing that i was helping others.
