A snitching culture if you do any error before you have time to rectify it. They go straight to the top and you get emails, phone calls and people at your desk. They just love jumping on the band wagon and for small things. Not saying any mistake is OK, these are things that can be resolved. You have so much work its too stressful and your in the office longer than at home. special exemption for the staff who were there when the business started. These are the bullies who encourage others to run to management. Never worked in a place like it. You end up making mistakes as your careful not too and slows you down. Don;t bother applying for any job here. 

There are many different plant operator roles at Flannery's. If you are work shy, cannot get out of bed on time or don't cut the mustard you will soon get found out. If you tell the truth and say you have limited skills on certain machines you may have to wait to get a seat but it will come. The recruiters will match you with a site and your ability. They also have upskilling courses which are a great way of gaining extra qualifications. Traveling can be an issue at times no every job is on my door step but I am happy to travel up to an hour to be kept in work all year round. At time digs in hotels have been provided when I was needed to work away from home. Good Money for good ops 

On a daily basis this job requires diversity I have to be able to move swiftly between dealing with customers and focusing on paperwork while always complying with the working guidelines. booking medical examinations at the last minutes and locating working operators for up and coming jobs.
The need to be able to spend time to investigate queries and locate information to bring disputes to a swift and fair resolution 
The office is fast paced and can mean that I have to make a judgement as to what takes priority.
Working with team members to find paperwork and make sure contracts/jobs are executed without problems.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Company is big at the same time they look after us, they respect drivers limitations as tacho etc

Loads of rules on site and dangerous industry

They really care about safety it comes first always no matter anything else

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early starts with most finishing at 3/4 pm going around London or a bit far dropping and collecting plant machineries

The worst company ever , cowboys and that’s all

The jobs when they start sending you for covers… every day  a new site

Have that?! I didn’t see anything like that

Keep chasing the office to find out where you will be tomorrow … if is gonna be tomorrow for your work with them

The office was absoloutely manic from the second I walked in until last thing in the evening. Lunchtimes often worked through.

Far too busy for the amount of staff in certain roles.

Certain staff that seem to call the shots without any seniority who speak to their colleagues in any which way they want. Directors attempting to intimidate staff for supposed errors.

The pay is above average

You can do a million things correctly and one thing wrong and you get threatened with being sacked

There’s is a lot of blame culture and finger pointing

Very repetitive and unorganised work load

Great company with decent machines, fitters are on hand and out to you in a prompt manor.
I completed  the apprenticeship scheme for position as plant operator. Could’ve had a bit more support at college with visits etc but overall great experience and would recommend to anyone and at any age just prepare yourself for outdoor conditions but good money for doing so.

Nothing at all . Stress is just a thing inside your brain

You wake up , getting to site , make money and go home

I started a job on a wheeled excavator for 1 years workon the agreement I would be moved onto the dozer when it arrives on site .After speaking to the site agent was told no dozer required on the site and the wheeled excavator was off hired in 2 weeks flannerys are the biggest liers I've ever met mess people's lives up
