If you're a Class 1 driver who wants respect, decent pay, or just to be treated like a normal person—don’t bother with this place. Seriously. It’s one of the worst companies I’ve worked for.
The way management speaks to you is disgusting—no respect at all. Constant attitude, barking orders, and treating you like dirt. But the moment you stand up for yourself or give back the same energy, you're hit with a disciplinary. One rule for them, another for you.
They expect you to work long hours, follow every bit of the Highway Code, and do every little thing perfectly—but then pay you next to nothing for it. 15-hour shifts, constant stress, and they still act like you’re not doing enough.
The whole place is toxic. It's like they want arguments. You feel like you're walking on eggshells every day. If you enjoy being spoken down to, underpaid, and pushed to your limit—this place is perfect.
If not, do yourself a favour and look somewhere else. There are plenty of Class 1 companies out there that actually value drivers. This one just uses and spits you out. 
The customer service here is absolutely awful. Rude, unhelpful, and completely uninterested in solving problems. You’re made to feel like an inconvenience just for asking a simple question. No communication, no respect—just attitude. Avoid if you expect even basic customer care.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing, awful people to work for and they have no idea how to run a logistics company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything, people speak to you terribly and expect things that aren't legal, nevermind honest.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Some members if staff are more than OK, the others were allowed to speak to people disgustingly, with no comeback from the manager. Manager didn't have a clue how to deal with staff. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Awful. Terrible place to work.

For myself I found GBA supported me 100% when I needed it most

Due to the store location we had long days mostly.

Probably no better or worse than anywhere else

Can be long, but with the new DC at Warrington I believe it’s changed

Your jobs is always on the line . The work you like  a donkey

Stressful and no help for anyone in the company

4 on 4 off shifts,it is hard work unloading but manageable, good training ,pay is good too.

Nothing really, probably just the unloading, but does get better/easier when you get used to it.

Seems ok,everyone very friendly.

GBA is a good place to work. The team is welcoming and supportive. The work is both challenging and varied. You are expected to work hard but there is a feeling of being part of a large family and with that in mind, you are supported. 

Job is exactly as advertised. Lots of driving, handball and cages. Almost all stores are tail lift so deliveries take an hour plus. 

It’s hard graft but the fleet is good, management are good and you’re generally left alone. 5 on 3 off shift on the HB contract 

Awlful management and organisation, trying to produce considerably more than the site was built for ,using agency staff so as not to employ full time staff average weekly wage is not livable 

Good company to work for. If you're a good driver and follow the rules it'll be peaceful and easy. Office team are kind and helpful. Long days but ok.
