I Joined this company full of hope of an amazing new care home to work within. The idea of a specialist neurological centre within Worcester was very exciting and inspiring and I couldn't wait to start. Unfortunately My hopes were soon dashed. The poor toxic management was evident from the get go, with dictator like attitudes particularly from one individual who is in a management role, this leading to a lot of good care staff leaving as they didn't feel valued or listened to. It was also massively apparent some of the management had little or no experience of this specialism leading to poor initial assessments, staff feeling under trained and not confident in specific skills to care for elements of complex care management. Retention was dire and sickness rife. Having to rely on lots of agency staff who mostly do not have the skills for complex care. I stayed a significant amount of time and aired my concerns to management who basically shrugged their shoulders and said " well it's not for everyone" I have a significant amount of neurological back ground,  so yes it was for me, what wasn't for me was the very poor management style and potential of risk to residents and staff. Sorry to say that my concerns were not listened to and I valued my professional ethics too much to continue with this company. I urge people to speak up, put reviews on, hopefully someone within higher management will listen and take a real look at the ongoing issues including retention of current staff. I do hope that a massive shake up is on the cards and they get management in place that actually know what they are doing. 

Working at Inspire Neurocare Worcester is one of the worst professional experience it can ever happen to a Nurse.
 I am used to work busy shifts and I do not have any problems in having a typical busy day at work: I go at work, clock in at the time I am required to be there, do my job and I do it well despite the high workload of the day.
Nevertheless the management aspect of this place really is the issue: they do not respect the essential staff who is there to do the most noble job which is caring for the patients, they lack serious professionalism and truthful attitude.
The management staff - in particular some Lead Carer - do not know their patients at their cores, they disrespect their nursing staff and are ready to give false accusations in order to save their face. This ultimately leads to poor management of the whole clinic, high levels of staff burnout and an always “bleeding wound” identifiable in nursing staff who, after a few working experiences in that place, ends up running away for the sake of their own well-being.  

At the end of the day, we are talking about a private setting which demands high quality of care and high level of skills not only amongst nurses but also and especially in the managerial sector which Inspire Neurocare Worcester seems lacking of.


Inspire makes promises to residents, relatives and staff and simply does not uphold them. No training apart from e-learning, no induction, no support. Frequently short staffed. Incredibly stressful and demoralising. Shifts often feel dangerous. Very disjointed team. Physically and emotionally damaging. You dread every shift. There are some truly talented members or staff who are utterly wasted and pushed to breaking point because even the basics are impossible. Residents don't access the community and become institutionalised. The role of "life skills facilitator/rehab assistant" just isn't true. The job is just personal care. Very task focussed. Person centred care is impossible here. The endless stream of new managers speaks volumes. The issue is the company. It will never improve 

Okay first of all I would replace job tittle to "carer" . Life skills facilitator is more likely someone who helps much more independent people to  be even more independent and supporting them in lifeskills or some decisions of their choice, providing freedom and promoting independency which means people are able to leave whenever they want with staff. This is just not scenario in Inspire.Job is giving good experiences in all areas of healthcare (medical care) and building is nice designed with very good staff. Payrise would be welcomed for kind of job we do. It is big responsibility to look after complex care residents so would be appreciated if amount of staff were put on shift in correct numbers depends of 1:1's and staff working in units 1,2 or 3. Overaly I enjoy working there.

I have never worked anywhere where the staff care so much for residents health and wellbeing, everyone is so friendly and easy to work with. 
Spotless environment to work in and lots of variety of food choices on the menu cooked fresh for the residents.
The staff encourage residents to take part in activities and to get out and about and also hold events here for them. Team work is clear here and they dedicate theirselves on person centred care. 

Inspire is really awful place to work! Management is arrogant and ignorant , there’s lack of permanent staff and they daily use agency to cover their shifts. One of my shifts Inspire have been left with only one RN until they find cover! If there’s a place I wouldn’t recommend to work that’s Inspire Worcester! 

Didn't feel supported by management. Staff sometimes was very unprofessional and some very lazy. Environment can be very toxic as you have long hours and, people that are not that interested in doing a good job. Loved the residents but the stress is dreadful. 

From my application through to me starting I have felt really positive about the company and the employees. Everyone I have spoken to so far have been friendly and polite, my manager is supportive and I feel appreciated. I also like that I feel I am making a difference in people's lives. I like the work we are doing to support our residents. 

Amazing core team of staff & lovely residents but management and lack of well-being support let it down massively. Residents are institutionalised & management unsupportive - only positive is the pay which is high for a care job, but also misleading. There is no facilitating of life skills in this role, it’s conveyer belt care. 

If you want to work somewhere that you can trust no one, this is the place for you. 
The senior team and directors are not supportive and team up together to cause trouble and make up lies when they decide they don’t like you

The residents and families are amazing. The deserve better
