The offices are dated storing far too much paperwork which is no longer necessary. All computers and desks/chairs are old because the higher management do not want to spend money on them while they sit in their comfortable chairs in their offices with brand new laptops. Management treat staff unfairly while clearly having their 'favourite' members of the team and do not like being faced with facts regarding the work ethic of certain members as they see them as personal friends. Work loads are uneven, while certain members of the team sit and talk about their personal lives and gossip about others, other team members are doing all the work. Overall it is not a very pleasant place to work as staff make you feel uneasy and if your face does not fit you will get no where in the company. Personally I take this as a life lesson and glad of the little training I received whilst there but nothing else good came from working here. I would avoid at all costs!!

I would start my day by reviewing my rough notes I would compose as a reminder during the previous day. I would then ask my co-workers if there was anything to prioritise, if not I would carry on were I had finished the day before.

I learned to multi-task and prioritise work ensuring I kept to any time scales, and to greet clients in a professional manner. Keep management informed of any feedback from clients if they are away from the office.

The most enjoyable part of the job was that no day was the same, as I floated between different departments. This could also be a problem at busy times.

I have worked for Lorne Stewart for a number of years with no issues at all. I have learnt so much within FM. I have been on training courses and progressed my knowledge. Management do their best to help all employees out and are very approachable. The working relationship between all employees is what you put into it. If you don’t want to have the relationships with the men out in the field or staff in the office you’re not forced to. Certain members of staff are doing more than others but that’s the same in any company. The wages could be higher and pay staff fair but again that’s the same in any company. Overall I loved my time working at Lorne Stewart and made some friends for life. The grass isn’t always greener that’s all I can say 

Each day is different so there is no chance of becoming bored and complacent. I have learned that adaptibility is the key to my job. The management are supportive but have targets as in any other company. My colleagues all have different skills so advice can be readily accessed and we are all supportive of each other. The hardest part of my job is that sometimes I require a second man for H&S reasons and the deadline for that particular task will fail. The most enjoyable part of my job is the when first assessing and diagnosing a difficult task and being right about my diagnosis.

This was honestly the worst job I’ve ever had. The workplace was toxic from day one — management had zero respect for staff, communication was a joke, and the atmosphere was constantly stressful and negative. People were treated like they were disposable, and it showed in how many good workers walked out.

There was no support, no appreciation, and no chance to actually grow in the role. Instead of building people up, the culture dragged everyone down. Morale was always rock bottom, and nothing ever got better no matter how many times staff raised concerns.

If you value your sanity and self-respect, avoid this company at all costs.

Worst company ever don’t even apply for a job here I’ve only give them 1 star because it won’t let me give none this is one bad crowd this company

The management are a disgrace

There’s only a handful and I mean a handful of staff that are genuinely nice people the rest truly are the scum of the earth

Out on the job when you’re away from the backstabbing and scheming you’re better off

Workplace culture is poor, a typical day at work involves being shouted at, called stupid and fighting off rumours that appear from nowhere. The most enjoyable part of the day is the drive home, however this is short lived as you have to go back the next day. The management does not value staff and will blame them for their own mistakes, so be warned! 

Just looking over this page it is also obvious that these reviews appear to be fake or sarcastic. Be warned the desperation for new 'meat for the grinder' is leading them to pursue strange ways of recruiting.

I had the mis fortune of working for this back ward thinking company on the EH contract. Avoid like the plague! Absolutely useless management, outdated work systems, planners who haven’t a clue about scheduling work for the closest engineer. Waiting over a year for a Multifunction meter! Absolute disgrace!!  Surprised they are able to pick up new contracts! If only people knew they have no staff!!! Literally the facilities dept in London share staff with other branches, what a joke!

Would give a minus score if possible.

If you are not you will be picked on and quizzed about small details on jobs and if you are off sick you will be Interigated by the old boss. 
The old boss had a saying "near enough is good enough 
" 
A huge number of workers left due to inept management and poor salary 
While select people would go for nap time in plant rooms...... That was overlooked

Awful environment. Come across friendly at first, within 3 days you see all the links to each other. All management are best friends since school, friend of partner, couple. Management is just like an inbred family all besties and family. 

Any issues you can’t raise as their friends will always be right no matter what the circumstance. Really not worth the stress and depression it causes in this environment
