Where do I even begin? My time at NOBU was nothing short of a nightmare, thanks to the abysmal management and the constant stress that plagued my daily life. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with my experience here.

First and foremost, the management at NOBU is utterly incompetent. It's as if they have no clue how to effectively run a team or inspire their employees. They lack basic leadership skills and are completely disconnected from the needs and concerns of their staff. Instead of providing guidance and support, they choose to micromanage, which stifles creativity and results in a toxic work environment.

The lack of clear communication is mind-boggling. Important information was often withheld, leaving employees in the dark and scrambling to meet deadlines with no direction. Even worse, when questions or concerns were raised, the management team brushed them off, displaying a complete disregard for the well-being of their employees.

The workload at NOBU was overwhelming and unmanageable. Despite working long hours, it felt like there was no end in sight. Unrealistic expectations were placed on employees, with little regard for work-life balance. There was an unhealthy culture of overworking and burnout, as the management failed to acknowledge the importance of employee well-being.

Additionally, there was a distinct lack of recognition and appreciation for hard work. Accomplishments and achievements were often overlooked, leaving employees feeling undervalued and demotivated. It's disheartening to give your all and receive no acknowledgment or reward in return.

The toxic work environment fostered by the management team was unbearable. There was a palpable sense of tension and hostility, as employees constantly feared repercussions for speaking up or expressing concerns. This led to a culture of fear and stifled creativity, which ultimately hindered the potential for growth and innovation within the company.

In summary, I strongly advise against considering employment at NOBU. The poor management, overwhelming workload, and toxic work environment create an atmosphere that is detrimental to one's mental and physical well-being. Spare yourself the stress and frustration; there are undoubtedly better opportunities out there.

Remember, it's crucial to research a company's management style and work culture before accepting a job offer. Learn from my mistake and avoid NOBU at all costs.

I worked at my previous workplace for a significant period, and while it offered a commendable salary and promising career progression, the overall experience left much to be desired. The organization provided an attractive financial package and clear pathways for career growth. However, beneath the surface, a toxic workplace culture prevailed.

Unfortunately, the work environment lacked empathy and consideration for the well-being of its staff. Issues raised about the toxicity were often dismissed, with HR suggesting that personal sensitivity was to blame. The organization seemed more focused on financial success than on fostering a supportive atmosphere for its employees.

The mental health of the team wasn’t a priority, contributing to a stressful work environment. Surprisingly, there was a lack of support and understanding when it came to balancing personal and professional life. Flexibility was virtually nonexistent, making it challenging for employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

In summary, while the salary and career advancement opportunities were noteworthy, the toxic work environment and lack of consideration for staff well-being make it difficult to recommend this workplace, especially for those prioritizing mental health. Don’t be swayed solely by the attractive salary; it might not compensate for the overall impact on your well-being.

Hirashamisi which is there ethos doesnt actually exist. FOH management doesn't support staff , my team had already 4 new starters and the year had just begun , hardly any time for breaks, only at company expense no cover arranged , lots of gossip and school like behavior is hereditary and it starts from the managerment not what I expected from a so called professional 5* establishment.

HR are unfortunately not there to protect you but the management and tbey seem to follow managementis always right as there motto., no support for employees no empathy for unexpected life things  problem grievance etc they'll side with management and don't resolve toxic behavior in the workplace they also allow bad behaviour from colleagues. 

Not surprised at all becuase i saw the red flags from the trial however I thought I could roughly make it through if i kept my head down but I arrived barley late 3-4 within  my probation period [5-10mins].  And I was degraded infrontnof hotel guest and work colleagues about my punctuality .

Absolutely rubbish and incompetent people to work with, they will treat you like trash, don't waste your time working here, unless you are really desperate for work.
The people working here have been recruited from the agency who are absolutely low class people, and have no manners how to treat other people.
I have got years of work experience working with some highly reputable hotels, however this was the worst work place of my life.

Every  month there is some one who leaves from the each department and there's always a position available here, therefore you can see how toxic this place is , please please please avoid them at all costs, if you have got some self respect for yourself.
 

The food is ok however, that's were it stops.

Management is rude and disrespectful, from HR to FOH. 

FOH management doesn't support staff, High turnover, very long hours (12+ hours), hardly any time for breaks, no cover arranged if staff call in sick, lots of gossip and school like behavior, not what I expected from a professional 5* establishment.

HR are unfortunately not professional, they gaslight and do not support employees, they'll side with management and don't resolve toxic behavior in the workplace. 

Very surprised at the lack of leadership and toxic behavior in the workplace. Had high expectations because of the brand reputation however, that is all Nobu has going for it, brand recognition. 

The company focuses on how to make revenue. They do not care about their employees' mental health, which is why a large number of people are leaving the organisation. 

The company's human resources department is arguably one of the worst I've seen in my career. On the other side, the salary is excellent until people leave your department, and the amount of work that is assigned to you is insane. It is not worth it.

I worked at this company for a year, without missing a day, but this was never recognized or appreciated. The environment is strongly influenced by classism: not all employees are treated equally, and decisions seem to depend more on personal sympathies than on real skills or commitment.

There is a double standard that makes the work environment toxic and demotivating. Respect for people and for the work done is absent. I found nothing positive in this experience and I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for a fair and professional work environment.

I was fooled by the name, I had a bad experience from the beginning. Too many people at the top not doing the basics. I would point things out and would get a robotic response. Nobu restaurant run's smoothly and that's the place to work but not for the hotel itself. too many problems and nobody caring to fix it clearly because the problems i.e old pots and pans/no utensils/no staff/poor managerial/low standards/no care for night staff.

I started with them ,I didn't got any training on process of food
another person say it another change it ,there are a lot of  confusion

To be fair, I think the people that gave 1 star are the once sacked and their review does not reflect fairly on this hotel. Yes it is a fast passed place and stress is involved but that's for all hospitality jobs. I like the culture, the support and the people. The pay could be better obviously but it is better than a lot of hotels.
