What is the best part of working at the company?
Usually finished once your drops were done. Perhaps the occasional run out if something was missed, normally fairly local.

Traffic problems and missed items. 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very casual. Loads prepared and sometimes loaded for you. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
0500 load van and get your route sorted, set off for first drop. If there were no problems I was usually finished by 2pm

I have just finished a temp contract at Paynes Dairies doing some data entry and sorting out invoices - sad to be leaving. From day 1 the whole staff team have been so welcoming and kind. I was given proper training and felt I could go to my managers with anything. I was made responsible for tasks and felt like I was contributing something valuable to the team. Can't thank them enough and would happily return to work here if circumstances allowed. Thanks guys.

Easy job, especially on tankers, trucks are a bit dated but it's one hit wonders or easy trailer changes. 
Fridges is again one hits but may be required to tip and reload cages via tail lift which can be a ballache.
Always home every night lots of time to yourself, bosses leave you to it and rarely get any grief. Salaried pay regardless of hours worked but very rarely do more than 10hrs.

Bad and their trucks are always filthy and smelly

There is no typical as you will be focused on the way out

I enjoyed working for Paynes it’s good life work balance early starts but also early finishes if lucky you start 4am and finish at 9.30am. Salary paid so quicker you can get on with your work better for you. If you slow then you end up doing more then contracted to.

Worked for Payne’s for 6 weeks as a new pass class 2 driver. Unfortunately it wasn’t for me, it’s run badly, everything is  unorganised from loading to delivery’s on a daily basis. Job sounds great in the interview and should be easy but it’s just made hard, didn’t find anyone who actually cared if you had a problem. Good for abit of experience if you’re newly passed but that’s it. 

You are left to find your own way. There is a difference in pay (somehow) between class1 drivers. The trucks may as well be used as scrap because they hardly run. Management say you'll be fine... as you're recieving one yourself by the DVSA. Attitude stinks all round. You ask for help but are expected to solve issues yourself. 

I think the pay isn't too bad. The routes are as easy as you make it. Can be long hours but you get paid.

The management are all about protecting themselves, they lie to customers about missed/delayed deliveries. They blame the drivers for all mishaps. The vehicles that you drive are dire, breakdowns are very common all recovery is done in-house, and it can take hours. I sat for over 7hrs once in -5 conditions unable to start my vehicle.

I have had y lot experiences at Paynes dairies company. Work start from 5pm to to 4am and they transports that drives every worker back home. Paynes dairies is about 45 minutes drive from Leeds. I really enjoy working there. 

Most people last a few months, ok until you can find something better, mostly new pass drivers looking to get experience. Office staff never last long have to deal with complaints all day.
