PKF Smith Cooper is a great place to work! The people and the culture are what makes it the company it is. There's plenty of opportunities to socialise and build connections across the firm. I feel like my opinions and ideas are listened to and respected, and I can approach any of my senior colleagues when I have something to discuss. 

Working in the marketing team is varied and interesting and I feel really supported, by my team and the wider firm, to perform at my best. Having started on an apprenticeship, I am grateful for the opportunities PKF SC has provided me with and the investment they have put into my professional development. 

My criticism would be towards the formal promotion process, which was a bit long winded and I felt could have been communicated better throughout. The timing of this process could have perhaps better aligned with the annual appraisals. 

Really enjoyed working within the Marketing department at Smith Cooper. My daily duties included updating the CRM system, sending out mailshots, managing the events and website inbox, alongside other administrative tasks. I learnt how to operate a variety of different databases and software, and developed my attention to detail skills. The Marketing team were friendly and great fun to work with, making every day different! The company as a whole was very sociable, which made for a good working culture. The management team were also very approachable and supportive.

Smith Cooper is a friendly organisation that rewards hard work and provides employees with the opportunity to explore different aspects of their role. This helps to create teams that build on people’s strengths, and develops their weaknesses in a progressive way. As an organisation, personal development is widely encouraged, particularly in the form of accredited qualifications and in-house training. Socially, inclusive events are regularly planned across all offices.

Ensuring progress maintained in administration of portfolio of Bankruptcies, including realisation of assets and distribution of funds to creditors. Giving tasks to junior team members to achieve this. Level of co-operation from Bankrupts varies considerably but rewarding when I can get their understanding as to what I am seeking to achieve.

Cannot recommend the company enough - best company I've worked for by a long shot. Yes, hard work is expected, but the social and work/life balance is perfect. Great culture, some exceptional talent to work alongside and going to work everyday really is a pleasure. 

A good size company where you get exposure to challenging pieces of work but with a supportive team to help push and develop you. 

Lots of opportunities to get involved in projects that interest you. 



Great and flexible place to work with excellent team culture. The work is challenging, motivating and there is always scope for progression. A really understanding and caring employer and a great place to work.

Management are very keen on micro managing, I knew more than my manager in my field yet wasn’t given the time or the opportunity to air my opinions or views.
Very stressful working environment with a company whom are working hand to mouth is not a good place to be in.

The personal tax department is a friendly department to work in.The members of the team  are highly competent and the work is interesting. The expectations are high but the rewards are good.
