Staff turn over is crazy and it is understandable. Little to no training on the job, no relevant SOPs in place. Blame culture is high which becomes more like bullying. People aren't held accountable for their poor work ethic when you are trying hard to be successful. Weekly meetings are pointless as no actions are taken to address and improve areas where continual errors are made. No please or thanks at any point. Pay is poor compared to other companies and they aren't willing to move on that to keep you, they just pile more work on until you are at breaking point. Pleasure in work isn't there any more and it's a shame as the majority of the people there are lovely and just want to do their job. Sadly, management are scared of members in the KLT so nothing gets done or is changed. You report things to direct managers but start to feel like a broken record. Meetings with Directors who voice that our jobs are safe and the company is secure yet they've sacked 3 people on the spot so far in the past month. Who's face doesn't fit next?

I worked at Record UK for little under 2 weeks from the end of June. No reallt training was provided, was advised to sit and watch other colleagues and to then pick it up that way. They advised in the interview they were flexible in regards to working from home and with childcare issues etc. Due to issues with my childcare due to my children being sick and being unable to attend their regular childminder this then led to me being called into a meeting upon my return to work after 2 days (one of which I worked at home and the other they would not allow me to do this and advised I take this as sick or come into the office). In the meeting, I was advised that they felt like I was disengaged when I was sat watching someone on a computer on a system I had 0 idea about. I was advised that I should have had appropriate childcare (which I did for children who were well) and that it was not going to work out. An overall bad place to work, very clique based and act approachable until you have an issue to which they then become hostile.

Record has a great work culture, all staff are incredibly friendly and supportive.
Higher management are very approachable and always happy to assist even if its not a part of the business they are familiar with.

Management are very supportive and do all they can where possible if you are wanting to change role or departments should you feel you are looking for next challenge in work.

Also have monthly 1-2-1, mid year reviews and annually review with your line manager so you always have an understanding on where you are succeeding and areas that you can improve on, all with the end goal that you are happy within your role.

Staff turnover is mental! I'm surprised they haven't been looked into. The management is ridiculous, no actions taken for them not doing their job correctly or the way that they speak to their employees. There is little to no thanks for all the hard work you put in and your expected to work over and above your contracted hours die to them being always short staffed. 
Maybe they wouldn't lose so much staff if they looked into the poor management

I have worked in some good places, some great places and then there is Record. To call it the worst place I have worked is the medal of dishonor this place deserves. The culture of backstabbing permeates from management to the factory floor, and every where in between. They have a proactive approach to constructive dismissal and the longer serving staff are ultimately responsible for this horrible environment to work. Read the other reviews and read them well, you don't need to work here.


Everyday would be  busy day at work as you are planning for the area you work for, i loved the job itself as i love to work in  a pressurised environment and meeting strict deadlines. the downside to working here was the management was very poor and there was no recognition for work carried out by individuals. the hardest part of the job was there was never no management around if you had any queries so a team decision would need to be made. the enjoyable park of this role was the team i worked with

Great flexibility to organise your diary as you see fit. KPI's and Targets in place as is normal in any sales function but these are designed to identify areas where you can improve and not beat you over the head with. Senior Management instill a great culture of Empowerment and Openness where it's a safe place to speak up or even make a mistake. Management also encourage the development of staff with regular internal training sessions and staff put forward for external training if required/requested.

I would not suggest working for record . All though the reputation was on a high when record was Record  , this is definitely going down at a fast pace.  They have no respect for engineers /service always on the look out for problems.  Never give any training.  Managment have very poor managment skills . Was off work with work related stress I had to end my employment,  they totally ignored occupational health advice. 

Company i would stay away from very unorganised. No training or progression. 


 

I chase all PPM contracts that I issue on a monthly basis and am issuing new contracts for installs coming out of warranty.
The management team doesn't seem to be focusing on the real issues within the company and seem to single people out  when given un achievable targets.
The hardest part of the job is finding out the correct information to contact the end users.
The hours and colleagues are fantastic which makes the day better.

I started working for Record UK as an auto door installer, when I left Record UK I had progressed to Senior engineer I was responsible for training of sub contractors and in house engineers, my role was also expanded to liase with the sales team and advise them on any technical issues they had or had from clients. I was also required to attend meetings with sales people to answer technical queries.
