The utterly absurd and mind-bogglingly excessive workload imposed upon supervisors at this establishment is a travesty of epic proportions. The paltry 20p hourly increment bestowed upon these poor souls is an insult of the highest order, a slap in the face that would be laughable if it weren't so tragically pathetic.

As these beleaguered supervisors toil away under the weight of crushing responsibility, they are met with a deaf ear from management, who seem more concerned with protecting the company's image than with the well-being of their employees. The customers, those omnipotent and infallible beings, are always right, and the supervisors are expected to cater to their every whim without so much as a murmur of dissent.

Meanwhile, the staffing levels are pared down to the bone, leaving these hapless supervisors to struggle alone against the tide of demanding customers, their workload a Sisyphean task that threatens to consume them whole. And what's the reward for this Herculean effort? A whopping 20p more per hour than their underlings? It's an outrage, a travesty, a mockery of the very concept of fair compensation.

In conclusion, the working conditions for supervisors at this company are a dystopian nightmare, a dystopian hellhole where the inmates are in charge and the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Something needs to be done, and fast, lest these poor supervisors be driven to the brink of madness and despair.

Rosa's offers the bare minimum of support to their staff, giving you small perks here and there. Doesn't get much better than that. I want to believe that the company does care about their employees, but it feels very much like their ethos is a minimum tick-box exercise, not the 'family' rubbish we have to sit through in inductions and training, as if we're all six years old. I find the way that managers and head office workers speak to FOH and Kitchen very patronising, and very few of my FOH coworkers think positively about head office because it doesn't seem like they understand the stress and effort that goes into busy service, even though most of them have at some point worked as servers. Training isn't good, inexperienced staff were way out of their depth without support, and on numerous occasions FOH staff have been stretched to their limits as the relentless opening of more and more sites continues. Management is also far too variable. I've had some great, caring and effective managers, but I've worked under some totally inept ones too, I'm sorry to say.

I have been working with Rosa for about a year and could say that the team is the reason why I stick with it for so long. They do have better benefits than other restaurants I have worked at such as higher pay, free staff food & drinks on shift, and discounts. 
Even so, it could be very fast-paced and stressful. Especially when the management team stepped in and try to increase the sale by cutting staff hours, forcing a person to go above and beyond for a little bit more than minimum wage. The long hour could also drain you easily with lack to no room for the staff-break area (depends on the branch but my branch did not have enough space for everyone to take a power nap). A lot of people come and go and we found later on the road that the salary did not make this job worth it - causing the restaurant to always lack staff resulting in more stress for staff on duty.
Ambiguous manager duty resulted in them working the bare minimum to nothing while the team members worked their head off.

You meet really lovely Thai people who work at other restaurants. If you love Thailand then listening to them talk and experience life with them is great

The expectations especially if you're management are far beyond what should realistically be, if the management team you work alongside is weak then you have no extra support but still need to achieve sometimes impossible figures

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment stressful, especially with the ever demanding general public, Thai culture is great if you are lucky enough to have them work in the restaurant 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy, tiring, long hours, if your colleagues work then all is good, if their lazy you have to pick up the slack

In my experience working at this company, I found the people to be incredibly nice and friendly. They treated customers and coworkers with respect and kindness, making it a very welcoming environment. Additionally, the job required some physical labor, but I learned many new skills and gained valuable experience from it. Every day felt fulfilling and rewarding, and the pay was also very good, which was a bonus. I am grateful for the opportunity it provided me to discover my potential and capabilities. If you are looking for a job that requires physical labor, pays well, and want to work with a group of kind and enthusiastic individuals, I would definitely recommend this company.

Working at this restaurant was a 10/10 experience. A typical day was fast-paced but well-organized, with great teamwork. I learned valuable customer service skills and how to handle high-pressure situations efficiently. The team was very supportive, approachable, and truly cared about staff well-being. The workplace was positive, respectful, and fun, making every shift enjoyable. The hardest part was managing busy rush hours, but it taught me resilience and time management. The most enjoyable part was the people—both the team and the customers made every day rewarding. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this team.

The company only cares about profits. In your branch the managers only care for themselves. Barely or any incentives for reviews or good service doesnt keep moral up in workplace not worth the extra effort.

Minimum staff because of cutting labour, so you're exhausted. If you're supervisor you do too much for little pay. If serving all day isn't enough you clean the floor, bar and toilets too. Keeping your branch afloat working at minimum wage...
It's not worth sacrificing your life and time in this company.

Although pay and benefits seem good, the work culture and management is very poor. Since they’re mostly Thai not all of them speak very well English and get offended taht you don’t understand accent at times so avoid speaking to you at times. They also speak Thai to communicate within the group which leaves you confused. Management was so bad that during December instead of having 4/5 people on the floor it was 2 and one of them was sadly me.

The food is great and so is the pay. The manager tends to do work more on laptop than on the floor even on busy days. Assistant manager and manager will never do the food running I the whole team I was the only one doing it and the kitchen is not on the same floor. This is the first restaurant where manager doesn't was the toilets only the staff does. The management will always talk behind your back to other team members. Kitchen staff is really good.
