as soon as you start, you must make sure shop's floor looks clean and presentable. you check special orders if needed, answering phone, informing managers and bosses what have happened. you have to arrange meetings with suppliers, check clothes if it needs any alterations. if there is a customer you always must serve him. 
If there is any special customer we have to travel to his place to bring all the collection and make sure you match the outfits. there usually are lot of paper work every day, for instance to add all the accounts, VAT refunds and etc.
I have learned an excellent communication skills as our customers are all very famous and powerful people from all around the world, I also have learned lots of PA assistance. I learned about different fabrics and how clothes are made. 
All my colleagues are mainly males.
the hardest part is to deal with very demanding people and to please all their needs to make sure their are happy with our services.
The best part, you can make really good connections, and sometimes you are able to travel abroad.

the hardest part of the job was to work under pressure practically all the time spent working as it was always busy and because the company's standard was very high and consequently the maximum concentration was required and no mistake were allowed.

the worst job I have ever worked at. All of the managers, both in Manchester and London are absolutely abysmal at their jobs. They mess up pay, holiday, and documentation every month and the lack of communication is rife. Employers ranging from restaurant managers to restaurant servers/hosts to salaried staff (in the office) are all miserable and are looking for jobs elsewhere. For the work you do, you are severely underpaid and never receive an ounce of appreciation. Avoid at all costs

For a minimum wage and even less tips you are expected to work over 50 hours a week and be treated like you're nothing. Find a better place, San Carlo is not worthy your soul. Sexist rules (e.g. the girls are required to wear loads of make up), most of the management drinks and shouts at everyone - even the customers, and they force you to sign the documents even without giving you appropriate information or contract.

I have worked for restaurants in different capacities since the beginning of my career. In my last position I was restaurant manager, and from this role I gained excellent leadership and managerial skills to make a restaurant run efficiently and smoothly. I am extremely organized and a good communicator, and have excellent vision of what it takes to make a restaurant run well to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Its a nice place for the famous people because they have a special treat
I am not agree whit the organisation of this place, is a mess the managers do not take care of the workers and also of the normal costumers
This company just want to make money they dont care about the service that they give and also they dont care about the timetables of the workers  
I am so disappointing with this way to work that is the reason I am looking for another job

It was a great experience to work in one of the San Carlo's restaurants in UK, particularly in Bristol.
I worked there for almost 2 years but they have seemed shorter than reality.  Satisfaction in producing hand made delicacies, with the italian culinary knowledge i have inherited in these years, have enlarged, giving me the chance to carry on to progress.

Really awful work life balance..  5 days a week, split shifts working all morning with a 3 hour break and then all evening till 10 - 11 at night. No one really spoke to me unless being told to do something. Worked there for 3 days and couldn't handle it and haven't been paid for the work I did. Made to buy own uniform before starting. 

Very busy and ignorant people allways trying to tell you what to do even tho they have no power to 5days a week 10hour days wage slip says min wage but you get a service charge and what i found out its not that much compared to the 10% service charge on the bill amount i recommend not working here
