My first day in the office nobody spoke or introduced themselves to me. Very little training was offered yet the line manager was obsessed with policies and protocols to the point that they over complicated the simplest of tasks. On paper they want to look like they have a sustainable, social conscious business that cares for the welfare of its staff. In reality they have silo working, unsupportive managers, policies on policies and absolutely no care about the welfare of staff.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Yet another insecure geology company, its getting old applying for these small firms getting a no despite being highly qualified  and theyre  only saying no because they know you're too good to join them 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Underpaid overworked.  No team work 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good  at all .terrible in fact 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not the best by any standards at all

I'm now part of a growing ambitious office and specialist team that have the expertise to support clients across multiple development sectors. Our Southampton office is growing and includes planners, landscape architects, arboriculturist, heritage and archaeology. It is a multidisciplinary company with huge potential for continued growth in the coming years.

I suspected that I was under paid while at SLR, but since I left a few years ago, I now realise how much I was taken advantage of. They do not care about people, customers or the planet, only profit for their private equity investors. The only upside of working there is flexibility. As long as you are making them lots of money, they do not care how or when you do it. Left after 12 years feeling very jaded, and now know there are far better consultancies out there to work for.

Close knit almost secluded atmosphere. Not open to change. Good FD, trying to work in a fuddy duddy old fashioned environment. FC wants to be liked but not, as expects others to work under pressure so can have a easy work life

Some people have had great career progression, but if you get stuck with someone using you as their stepping stone to 'gain experience' in line managing to make their promotion, you will have 0 advancement and get left behind, while they pretend to support you. 

It's straight forward job. Staff friendly.  Wash cups.etc. wipe. Mop. Hoover and dust. Very clean building.   Easy going clean. Not far to walk home from there.

Productive, challenging and rewarding environment. Management weren't the best communicators, and didn't get the most out of staff, however overall good working environment

I was nearly 3 months into contract before work was offered. The communication for my manager was absent/awful. No notice when finally offered a start

Great place to work and sharpen your skills.  They take mentoring seriously and reward hard work.  Fun environment to collaborate with others and develop good bonds with colleagues
