Smartpa

I have been working as a SmartPA for almost two years and have found it to be a great opportunity. I am based at home and have a number of clients in the UK, Europe, New Zealand, Australia and the US. The work I complete is varied and no two days are the same. The hours I work are flexible and fit in with my lifestyle. The opportunity to collaborate with other SmartPAs is great and I feel part of a community even though I am running my own home-based business. I expected the networking and finding clients to be challenging however, with the support of the head office team and excellent training provided, I had the confidence and opportunity to quickly onboard clients and continue to attract new business on a regular basis.

Toxic positivity. Management argue in front of you. Management will trash talk other colleagues to you. One rule for some, other rules for others (family connections). 
A very "get on with it attitude".
The management are nice, but as long as you have something they can gain from you and you're easily manipulated.
I've heard heads of departments talk about dismissing colleagues in front of others.
No HR or people management training between any of them which is a red flag.
Seem to be really really reluctant to look at their staff turnover and think somethings up here and maybe suggest changing something.
The business idea is there but just poorly executed. 

My experience here has been largely positive. Like any workplace, there are pros and cons, but I’ve gained valuable experience and had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible people.

The role supported my professional development, and I appreciated the chance to contribute in a fast-paced environment that’s focused on continuous improvement and redefining the administrative sector. The organisation’s broader goals are genuinely inspiring.

Overall, it's been a useful stepping stone and a positive experience depending on what you're looking for in your next chapter.

SmartPA is a fantastic business model if you want to take all of the skills learnt throughout employment and set up your own business. 

No two days are the same as you work with so many sectors.  Every day you learn something new.  

Its fantastic to be able to work at home and so great for people like me with young children and daily school runs. 

The hardest thing has been growing my client database, although again, SmartPA help you every step of the way by providing you with a bonus client, alongside constant training and mentoring programmes to join. 

The best thing about SmartPA is that they want you to succeed!

Pay in line with other similar roles, plenty opportunity to learn, this is my first role since changing career direction to Accounting and Finance and found it a great place to learn lots of different skills and elements of a Finance Department. Company is supportive of further professional development and are supporting me with my AAT qualification. Good people to work with, nice office space but with a balance of flexibility with home working and shift times. Overall I haven’t found there to be many Cons/Negatives in my experience.

have a group of 30 "partners " all dissatisfied yet they refuse to talk with us. 

I absolutely loved my time working at SmartPA. The team is amazing and the clients are just as better. It felt like the years went extremely quick which shows it's such a wonderful company t work for.

I've had a great experience working here. The team is supportive, and there's a real sense of collaboration. There's plenty of autonomy in my role, and I feel trusted to make decisions and drive change. There are good opportunities to develop and progress, and the pay is strong for the role I do.
