say goodbye to your life with rude managers that will just change your shifts at a days notice and demand you work them. good bye to weekends only getting a few hours to yourself on a saturday because you were in early at half 6am and now they want you back in at 6pm so you quickly have to get home wash eat and try and get some rest but you never can. on the plus if you want to improve your bitchyness you can learn from the master scarlet. don't ruin your life here better off working at Mcdonalds. oh and their thanks for been a slave is that you get to do it all again the next weekend and christmas day, boxing day, new years eve and day. no benefits whatsoever.

Always enjoyed working at the glh but was never given more hours as I was only on function staff. As it was a function based contract, I could be working almost 300 people at one time to maybe 40 max. However, While there I learned that I am able to adapt and change to the environment and will not crumble under pressure.

Only worked here for about a month, workers aren't the nicest people to be around. 
Never knew what time I would be finished so no balance at all, pay was garbage.
Got finished out of the blue with no formality at all just on the spot in front of everyone, very humiliating!

working here has felt more like part of a family then part of a team and each one of us helps each other, the owner is brilliant. Best job I will ever have, however my dream career is not in hospitality so unfortunately one day I will leave.

my typical day at work was ok I enjoyed serving customers and dealing with the guests enquiries. all the staff were very friendly. personally I didn't like the boss but it was a nice place to work.

Literally worked everyday of every week. You worked long hours and I was on £5 an hour. Management was poor. Only saving grace was that I got on with some of the other staff

This was a very good company to work for in all aspects of the hotel.They put me on several courses in my time therever. Also enjoyed  the relief work in other hotels

insuring the bar was clean and tidy, welcoming customers, serving drinks, cash handling, stock taking and maintaining a pleasant environment!

Nice work place to work, can be stressful, got treated well and everyone was nice, gave plenty of hours and helped you out as much as you needed, lovely atmosphere

Very nasty environment, not very nice management to work with very nasty staff to work with would not recommend to any one to work there due to these issues
