Employee gets a great deal of work responsibility. Hence, a great place to learn. Friendly co-workers. However, less or no opportunites to participate in out of house seminars or conferences. Mostly on the job learning due to cost cutting measures.

Much time needed to prepare weekly reports for the vice president as micro managing is very common from the upper management.

Overall a pleasent place for the first few career years.

The pay..nothing else

Dealing with the bigotry & trying to sleep in the day 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not very pleasant.very clicky place.set in their 1980's attitudes & opinions.(trump fan your in.)I can only speak for the fab side of things as little or no contact with days or office side.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long slow boring 
Removing knives from back before starting work

Lots of drug taking on shifts - management don’t care for operators and talk to them like something they stepped in and work is constant and you got a manager,supervisor and lead op constantly asking for more whilst they stand around talking 

Abysmal and incompetent HR department

Poor management of IT department

Outdated old technology equipment. Outdated process documentation. Instead of hiring talent they bring clean room operators in to fill job roles. Management is not held accountable for poor decision making 

It is never the same at Vishay, everyday is different, The variety of work involved is great. As a QA Inspector the role is varied and you communicate daily with Customers, Customer Service Department and the Warehouse.
The staff are a credit to this company

Everything about this place was excellent.  Live close, 3 promotions in 8 years.  Management very good and knew what they were doing.  Co-workers very friendly.  Hardest part was having to go home at end of the day.
