Not sure as a company overall, but the team I was at... it taught me basically how badly the team can run. They keep doing "Re-structure" and lay off 10 people easily, due to budgeting or for the improvements etc, all fail under, because they don't have any fundamentals, and they don't understand it. the thing is, they lay off people due to 're-structure' which they do every 3 months, but they do not even re-hire accordingly as the new structure presented, which looks like a primary school presentation with spell errors. it's a complete disgrace. Quite outdated company as well, not much of new technology is there at all.  

they seem to cut people off whenever they want, on adhoc basis. there definitely was a bit of unconscious favouritism. they say re-structure but end up not actually "re-structuring" as people leave due to motivational issue, which is an after effect and is not rocket science to realise those things but they don't, therefore they are in the loop hole, bad cycle and its business model. No probational review, I passed by luck., it's just that people kept changing that no one knew what my role was, so I realised that my position was floating in the air. Everyone gossiping about each other, senior managers moaning that they want to quit in front of Jr members. it just made me very out of place, none of management had the actual 'team spirit', but acted as if they do, only in team emails. I've asked HR about this redundancy and even HR says "it's the nature of our industry'. Sickness not monitored etc. Quite a sad place to work, if you are motivated. I was hired as a permanent but lasted 1 year. this shows why. (should have been contract)  Management didn't come to say farewell till my actual last day, kept playing the poker face till then. (only did so, by criticised by other staff) I felt sick to my stomach, felt quite depressed and had a headache for towards the end due to the way people treated me. but on the contrary, I am grateful to have learnt this horrible experience, as now I am placed in the right place, and able to appreciate what it is like to belong to a proper good team. Because I've learnt it cannot be worse than Adecco UK Head office. didn't know but recruitment sector is famous for being bad. I thought it's the opposite as their purpose is to help people get a job. what an irony.

There is not a typical day at work.  My workload can vary from one minute to the next, fast paced, decision making is the key.  We can deal with all sorts of requests from associates level right up to stakeholders within the client.  You have to be able to wear many different hats and have the ability to converse at many different levels.   One minute your discussing an issue with an associate and the next you are in a meeting discussing recruitment drives with the client.

I have learnt over the past 10 years that you need to adapt to ensure that the delivery of the contract is not static.  You need to be innovated in your ideas, driven by your goals and ensure these are met.  I have a sound knowledge in HR policies and process which I have gained whilst in this role.  I manage 2 Contract Consultants and have a flexible workforce for the client of around 160, this has risen historically to 300 plus. This includes running payroll weekly, dealing with Return to Works, Disciplinary, Grievances, Standards of work. I hold regular 1-2-1's with my Consultants and set KPI's for them.  I have also been innovated in my ways of ensuring they are motivated.

The hardest part of the role is to ensure the client is always happy and satisfied with the delivery of the contract, but this is also the most enjoyable part.  Challenges do not scare me, infact they excite me.  I love interacting with people and enjoy seeing someone progress in their role due to some part we have played in this.

This review is about the call centre role in Knowsley.
After the interview stage is successful, you're invited to attend 1 weeks worth of training, all paid for, which is fine, the instructors are friendly enough and can be really helpful but once you're out on the floor there's very little help.
You're working in a very large, usually fairly loud call centre with horrible lighting and are expected to arrive at the very least 10 minutes before your shift actually starts (which you will not be paid for) then have to wait for the slow computers to log on to the terribly designed and inefficient but having to log into your phone you'll have no choice but to put it into a mode where calls can't come through as you won't be able to keep the call time down to the, roughly 3 minute target they expect everyone to have. However, too long in any of these modes (usually about 2 minutes or sometimes less in my experience) another staff member will come over to ask what you're doing as they're monitoring most calls..
The tight targets, constant monitoring and dark building with very little to no natural light makes this job seem very bad, especially when combined with the customers that can be very challenging. The only saving grace seems to be weekly pay, I would recommend this job however if you need to make some quick money or pass some time, they also have quite a high staff turnover rate too...

Employed as Admin asst, but the sheer volume of paperwork to fill, scan & return was incredible, then it needed to be done all over again for another team, no idea why they didn't share the originals submitted. Applied in October but took 3 months of 'back n forth' & lots of reminders / prompting from me to get updates on a start date.
2 different agencies were supplying staff where I worked & the others had regular visits from agency staff to ensure all was well & they'd settled OK, Adecco never turned up once.
Wage was £8.21 p/h rising to £9.00 after 12 weeks, 4 hours daily, 20 hours a week on a 9 month contract but after 8 weeks we were laid off & not once in those 8 weeks did we get a full 20 hours. Average week was 12 hours total, & the ongoing staff already there had told us this was normal & the contract never lasts 9 months, lucky to get 5/6 months max. None of these details were mentioned at any point by Adecco. 
Regularly had to chase them to sort out my tax code, they even forgot to pay me twice & then, after the minimum wage rose they even paid me the old rate weeks later, no idea on annual leave allowance as it's never added to your wage slips & the equation they use is out of the bible !!!!
My assignment is / was supposed to be 9 months but currently 'on hold' due to the COVID issues, just been told (& not by Adecco) that if you've done the initial 12 weeks & reached the magical £9.00 p/h but your assignment is put on hold for 6 weeks or more, on your return your rate drops down to the minimum wage again !!!  WTF

I found this to be a really fun little temp job. Work was almost too easy at times and you could have a real laugh with some of your co-workers.
Because it was an entry-level job you got a real mixed bag of co-workers; some were alright to get along with; some you'd have a great laugh with; and others you'd give a wide berth to even in the day.

The typical day started at 5 A.M [in winter btw] when you got on the bus to travel to Annan. I usually spent this time napping. You'd then arrive on site to be given your job for the day, and at this point you would witness your more troublesome teammates throw a fit because they're not working with their mates or didn't get the job they wanted, and then get screamed at because they want a smoke 3 minutes before work. I actually saw several of them get warnings and then be fired for this, making that a very expensive cigarette.
So you'd toil at whatever task you were given and then you'd be free. You could have a good crack on the bus home and you'd typically get in around 5 PM.

The day's enjoyment depended solely on who you were stuck with for the day. I got on with most people pretty well, and we had a great time. But, some people just wanna watch the world burn, and if being a miserable joy-kill is their only way to achieve that, then that's exactly what they'll do.

It's just a shame Pinney's of Annan is set to close. It was really fun, easy cash, albeit a long day.

Cons:

Long Hours: One of the challenges I faced in this role was the long working hours. It often required extra time and effort to meet deadlines and complete tasks.

Lack of Time Management Tools: There was a noticeable absence of effective time management tools or systems, which made it difficult to track and manage workload efficiently.

Break Management: The management of breaks was not ideal. There were instances where it was challenging to take adequate breaks or find a suitable time to relax during the workday.

Compensation: The compensation package was not competitive compared to industry standards. It did not adequately reflect the level of commitment and effort required for the role.

Been with Adecco Rail for other 2 years at this point. 
The small management team I work under  are nice personally and we’re a good team but there ate a lot of rules set by SWR for Adecco to inforce e.g. no music at all times including when it’s quiet and get moody if you hand back a shift given to you. Their very strict but at the same nice very nice people, and they do take liberties a lot, for example, they expect me to work 2-10 every week day and work during the weekends, you never feel free to do your own thing in case they ask you to work overtime. That’s one of the good things at the end of the day, theirs a lot of shift opportunities and other opportunities for example in January I was asked not to work my main station so instead of letting me go, they kept me on but waited until covid restrictions were loosened to start training on gateline, which I did in August. Also it’s a almost garenteed job, I turned up for the interview and signed all the paperwork in the same day, I wasn’t even sure I wanted the job before the interview, it happened very fast, the next 2 days I trained and I started a 5 day week the following week, it all happened very fast and it was great. In summery, really good people if you don’t mind the work. 

I have worked for Adecco as an agency worker for Procter and gamble working as a line operator. My tasks included ordering new materials onto the line as and when we run low on those materials and also the topping up of the machines with the products that were using on that job. I regularly received health and safety procedures about what to do in different scenarios in the work place environment including new personal protection equipment to insure the safety procedures are met. 
Other jobs included ordering new material to ensure the line runs at sufficient speed to reach target set by the production managers. Daily tasks involve clearing of the products when they jam in the machines and getting the machines running again. Other daily task included the cleaning of the inside of the machine to insure they run smoothly. I used  take part in the installation of the new machines as and when extra staff is required.  I received new training on the equipment to keep me up to date with the new machines or the changes that happen with the factory. I am able to use scanners in a factory to see how much excess materials is required to replenish the warehouse, as well as do weight checks which ensure the correct amount of lotion is in each can.
