Job Summary
We are urgently seeking a dedicated Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining high standards of food safety, and supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and experience in a fast-paced environment to contribute to a dynamic team.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
Support meal presentation and garnishing to ensure visual appeal
Assist with serving food to customers or guests as required
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the kitchen as needed
Serving experience is an advantage but not essential
