Full job description

Job Summary

Join our healthcare team as a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. In this energetic and dynamic position, you will assist licensed pharmacists by providing friendly, efficient service to patients, managing medication supplies, and supporting medication administration processes. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all visitors and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our community.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter
Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and organizing medication supplies
Support medication administration by preparing prescriptions under supervision and ensuring proper labeling
Answer patient inquiries regarding over-the-counter products, medication instructions, and pharmacy services
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to promote safety and efficiency

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is highly preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations is advantageous
Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with inventory management and customer service in a fast-paced environment is a plus
