The Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Hemswell, DN21 5TU

Shift Pattern/Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4pm

Salary: £39,787.28 to £43,709.08

Purpose of the role:

As the on shift Mechanical Engineer you are responsible for providing engineering support to achieve the plant production targets & PPM completion rate to KPI target levels. You will also provide support on breakdowns.

Key responsibilities will include:·

Responsible for timely completion of all relevant plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide PPM programs.
Ensuring all equipment is maintained both proactively and reactively to deliver safe and reliable operation in line with planned production requirements.
Ensure all recording systems for work completion are correctly compiled with all relevant information detailed.
Responsible for setting and installing blades keeping the same high standard and tolerance.

To be successful in the role, you will require:

Good academic qualifications (i.e. C&G or NVQ in a Mechanical Engineering discipline)
Apprentice trained & qualified
Minimum 3-5 years’ experiences in a maintenance function within a fast-paced environment.
Experience of fault finding, breakdown repairs, completion of Preventative Maintenance routines on Mechanical aspects of various manufacturing production equipment, Continuous Improvement activities
Light Welding and Fabrication (Advantageous)
