Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry and developing their culinary skills. The role involves supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks as required
Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment

Skills

Experience or interest in food preparation and cooking is desirable
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of hygiene standards within a professional kitchen environment
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to develop their culinary knowledge, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. All positions are paid, providing valuable experience within the hospitality industry.

Hours 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm late night over the busy period.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
