Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Transport Minibus Driver to ensure the safe, reliable, and timely transportation of students to and from school. This vital role involves operating a school minibus with professionalism, maintaining excellent communication with staff, students, and parents, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to providing a positive transportation experience for young learners.

Duties

Safely operate the school minibus along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
Maintain clear communication with school staff regarding schedules, delays or emergencies
Assist students with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting mechanical issues promptly
Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure environment for students and staff

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driving roles, preferably with school transportation experience
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot issues
Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
Ability to handle routine maintenance tasks and identify vehicle problems early
Demonstrated responsibility in adhering to safety standards and traffic regulations
Prior experience as a delivery driver or similar role is highly desirable
