Job summary

As Operations Support Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the effective management, performance and continuous improvement of the PADS (Planning, Appeals and Decisions Service) contract. Working with colleagues across the Planning Inspectorate and external stakeholders, you will help ensure processes, systems and resources are managed efficiently, contributing to the delivery of high quality services and organisational objectives.

Job description

You will support the effective management and delivery of the PADS contract by coordinating key administrative, financial and operational activities. This will include maintaining systems and processes, supporting resource allocation, managing quality assurance activities, processing invoices and producing performance and utilisation data. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to resolve queries, support business change and ensure contract management activities are delivered accurately and efficiently.

You will play an important role in building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and support to colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement across the service. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting budget and performance monitoring, and ensuring data and information are managed in line with organisational policies and procedures while contributing to the successful delivery of team and organisational objectives.

This role is known internally as PADS Contract Management Co-Ordinator.

Salary

New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start on the minimum of the pay band. Internal rules apply to existing Civil Servants, i.e. level transfers move on current salary or the pay range minimum, transfers on promotion move to new pay range minimum or receive 10% increase. Either case is determined by whichever is the highest.

This role is being advertised at EO Grade which has a salary of £30,735.

Working hours:

Standard working week is 37 hours, part time at 30 hours or above. Flexible working hours policy available.

Office Attendance

This role is contractually based at our office in Bristol, 10-minute walk from Temple Meads train station. We recognise and value the mutual benefits of hybrid working and have a flexible approach to in person attendance, which can vary dependent on the requirements of individual business units - the details of which can be discussed with candidates if invited to attend an interview. Excitingly, we're relocating to a brand-new office in December, while maintaining excellent transport links with Bristol Temple Meads station just a 10 minute walk away.
