Hours

Monday-Friday 10am-3pm shifts

Overtime available with events and peak season, offering occasional evening shifts.

Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Your efforts will ensure that food preparation and service operate seamlessly, allowing the restaurant or hotel to deliver exceptional experiences to every guest. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable kitchen and hospitality experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety standards and rotation procedures
Dishwashing duties by cleaning pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen tools efficiently
Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to uphold hygiene standards
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members

Skills

Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning routines
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently at a fast pace
Good communication skills to coordinate with chefs and other staff members
Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and contributing positively to the team atmosphere

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
