Full job description

Hours: Part-Time | 4 Days per Week
Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

We are looking for a reliable, highly organized, and proactive Office All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team. This is a crucial role that bridges the gap between our day-to-day finances, customer orders, and supplier management. The Role

In this position, you will be the administrative backbone of our business. You will split your time between keeping our daily financials updated and managing our front-facing operations with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Finance: Manage the day-to-day accounts using QuickBooks Online. This includes bank reconciliations, managing sales and purchase ledgers, and chasing outstanding debts.
VAT Returns: Prepare, check, and submit our quarterly VAT returns in compliance with HMRC Making Tax Digital (MTD) guidelines.
Customer Order Processing: Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email. Accurately process incoming orders and update clients on delivery timelines.
Supplier Interaction: Raise purchase orders (POs), order stock/materials, track deliveries, and reconcile supplier invoices against delivered goods.
General Office Support: Maintain digital filing systems, handle incoming mail, and ensure the office runs smoothly.

What We Are Looking For

Proven hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is essential. You must be confident navigating the platform independently.
Strong, practical understanding of UK VAT regulations and return preparation.
Excellent communication skills with a confident, professional telephone manner.
High attention to detail—you are someone who notices when an invoice is pennies out or an order is missing a line item.
Ability to prioritize your own workload and work independently in a small team environment..
