Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to one of our clients in his own home. This will be a live in position working one week off and one week on. You must be a driver and be able to drive a manual car. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalised care support with professionalism and empathy.

Duties include but are not limited too:

Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support when requested or required
Support with medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions
Support to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
Drive client to appointments or outings when necessary (client has own car for you to use)
Offer companionship and engage client in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being
Assist with heavy lifting and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
Knowledge of patient care techniques
Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
Valid manual driving licence for transportation duties (mandatory)
Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour issues with patience and professionalism
Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a genuine passion for caregiving is essential

Important: Applicants must have the existing right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
