Seasonal Apple Pickers

Start Date: 1st September
Duration: Approximately 6 Weeks
Pay: £12.71 per hour

Season Completion Bonus: £200

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 -16:00

Join Us for the Bramley Apple Harvest

Every autumn, our orchards come alive as we harvest the Bramley apples that help make Puratos Fourayes the UK's number one grower and processor of fruit. We are looking for hardworking, reliable Seasonal Apple Pickers to join our harvest team for the farm’s busiest and most important time of the year.

This is physical, outdoor work in the fresh air, surrounded by acres of beautiful Bramley apple orchards in the heart of Kent.

The Reality of the Role

Harvesting apples is physically demanding work.

You'll spend long days outdoors picking and handling fruit, walking through orchards, climbing ladders where required, carrying picking bags, and working to daily productivity targets. The harvest doesn't stop because the weather changes, so you'll be expected to work in a variety of conditions, from warm sunshine to wind and rain.

Successful pickers will be expected to harvest a minimum of 5 bins of Bramley apples per day while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.

The work is tough but can also be rewarding.

What You'll Do

Pick Bramley apples safely and efficiently
Meet daily productivity and quality targets
Work as part of a harvest team
Always follow health and safety procedures
Respect the environment by always taking your rubbish home with you

What We're Looking For

A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Good physical fitness and stamina
Reliability and punctuality
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Willingness to work hard throughout the harvest season
Previous fruit-picking experience is helpful but not essential
