Full job description

Key personal aspects:

Able to coordinate warehouse duties and occasional driving to cover holiday periods if needed.
Be able to work under tight deadlines to meet our customer's high expectations & demands for service and delivery.
Be prepared to work additional hours when necessary.
Responsible attitude to driving and the care of the Company van.

Reports to:

Branch Manager & Supervisor

Outline Duties:

Primarily work in the warehouse while also assisting at the Trade Counter.
Receive, accurately process, and store incoming goods; pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch; load and unload vehicles.
Support administrative tasks as required.
Carry out all branch duties, including driving, warehouse picking, and general paperwork.
Maintain a good knowledge of company products; on-the-job training will be provided.
Ensure all paperwork for orders and deliveries is accurate and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Work additional hours when necessary to support branch activities.
Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Hold a valid driving license and be available to drive to cover holidays or staff absences.

General:

We work in a small team and it is therefore essential that all members of the team be prepared to help each other in times of need. This means that a flexible attitude to the duties to be carried out is essential; providing cover for other members of the team will be a requirement of this position.
All holidays must be carefully coordinated with the other members of the team; only one member of the team may be on holiday at any point in time (except during fixed shut-down periods)

Health & Safety:

Employees must ensure that they take reasonable care of their own health and safety and the health and safety of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions; that they familiarize themselves with the health and safety arrangements that apply to themselves, their equipment and their work; that they co-operate with management to ensure that all statutory duties are complied with.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
42.5 hours per week
Overtime (hours over 42.5 per week) paid at time and a half
No weekend work
No Bank Holidays
Christmas break
