Full job description

Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

The opportunity has arisen for someone to work within the Technical /Admin Department at our ever expanding meat processing site based in Sheffield. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual to progress within our technical team, and gain a wide knowledge within the food industry.

The ideal candidate must have:

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Excellent punctuality skills, with the ability to start work between 6 – 8am
Good organisational skills.
The ability to communicate well via email and telephone.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Experience in the below would be ideal but is not essential as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Day to day duties could include:

Internal factory audits – GMP’s, Fabrication, Glass & Hard Plastic, metal detection audits, H&S etc.
Calibration of equipment – Temperature probes, scales etc.
Performing some laboratory testing, such as environmental swabbing, water sampling, carcass / trim sampling as well as monitoring the results and schedule.
Investigating complaints, communicating with customers and passing information over to production teams via toolbox talks.
Management of non-conformances, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and the root cause is found to prevent reoccurrence.
Communicating with suppliers & customers for example arranging meetings, sending out customer questionnaires and responding to day to day queries.
Checking general documentation, production paperwork and assist with admin work.
Ordering equipment, chemicals etc. and sending equipment for external calibration.
Adding trending information into Excel, Word spreadsheets.
General office duties such as filing and laminating.
Updating staff training records.
Holidays: 28 Days including bank holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71-£13.70 per hour
