Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role involves working with a range of equipment, ensuring functionality and safety while providing excellent customer service. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of coaches
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults.
Perform fabrication tasks as required, including welding and soldering components.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and repair work.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with the drivers and operations assistant
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as necessary to move equipment or materials safely.

Skills

Proficient in mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques, including welding and soldering.
Strong understanding of electrical systems related to machinery operation.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
