Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role involves working on a range of projects, from residential to commercial properties, and requires a professional approach to safety and client satisfaction. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation to different sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections before painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and specialised equipment
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions accurately
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site visits across different locations
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
