Job Summary

Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse looking to join a supportive and patient-focused team? Dalblair Medical Practice is seeking a motivated and proactive Practice Nurse to become a valued member of our friendly multidisciplinary team.

Dalblair Medical Practice is a well-established GP practice in Ayr with approximately 2,900 patients. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our local community in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our team includes 3 GP Partners, a Salaried GP, MDT Support, and an experienced administration and management team who work collaboratively to provide excellent patient care. We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive workplace culture, strong teamwork, and continuity of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

Chroniic Disease Management(e.g) Asthma, COPD, Diabetes and Hypertension)
Assisting with minor procedures and ensuring a sterile environment for treatments.
Treatment room duties including wound care, dressings and injections.
Monitoring patient vital signs and recording clinical information accurately.
Cervical Screening.
Venepuncture and routine clinical proedures.
Supporting quality iImprovement activies and clinical audits
Maintaining thorough and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans.
Providing advice on health-related issues and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
Contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient centered care

Requirements

Proven experience in patient care within a general practice.
Competence in medication administration, including injections and other treatments.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team .
Organised approach to managing multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.
