Bank Catering Support Worker – Best Lives

We’re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Bank Catering Support Worker to join the Best Lives team.

At Best Lives, everyone matters. We support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and a range of additional mental and physical health needs to live fulfilling, meaningful lives. Our approach is fully person-centred, focusing on independence, wellbeing, and empowering people to live life in a way that feels right for them.

As a Bank Catering Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation and delivery of meals, while also encouraging the people we support to get involved in food-related activities where appropriate. This could include assisting with meal preparation, promoting healthy eating, and creating a positive, inclusive dining experience that supports independence and life skills.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

Support individuals in a person-centred way, including during mealtimes and food preparation
Assist with the preparation, serving and presentation of meals in line with dietary needs and preferences
Promote independence by encouraging individuals to take part in cooking and kitchen-based activities
Have experience or qualifications in areas such as bakery production, cooking to order, or customer/front of house service
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Communicate effectively with individuals, colleagues, families and external professionals
Be caring, patient and committed to making a positive difference
Experience supporting vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential
