Full job description

Founded in 1845 Wilbys is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, Estate Agents and Auctioneers based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We offer a range of professional services through the South and West Yorkshire regions. We are a small, friendly and busy team with an existing and growing client base.

We are seeking to appoint a Temporary Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper and Administrator to provide interim cover for an absent team member. This will include managing the Firm’s Office Account, Clients Accounts and be responsible for Payroll.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Completing monthly Payroll

· Completing BACS transfers and issuing cheques from office and client monies.

· Processing of sales invoices and chasing of arrears

· Payment of supplier invoices

· Processing of property rental monies on Alto Software

· Daily banking of rentals/payments received

· Bank reconciliations

· VAT returns

· Administrative tasks

Attention to detail, experience with Sage Accounts and Payroll or similar software, together with strong numeracy skills would be desirable. Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel would be preferable. An understanding of Clients Money procedures is essential.
