Join the kitchen team at one of Devon's most beautiful country house hotels

Set within 20 acres of stunning grounds on the edge of Dartmoor, Lewtrenchard Manor is an award-winning country house hotel where exceptional food and warm hospitality go hand in hand.

We're looking for a hardworking, reliable Kitchen Porter to become an important part of our kitchen brigade. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly and maintaining the high standards our guests expect.

About the role

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll support our chefs and front of house team by ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and ready for service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
Keeping the kitchen, pot wash and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
Assisting with deliveries and storing stock correctly.
Removing waste and recycling safely and efficiently.
Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Helping maintain food hygiene and health & safety standards.
Working as part of a close-knit kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Can work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Takes pride in keeping work areas clean and organised.
Is physically fit and happy with a hands-on role.
Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
