Contracts Sales Coordinator – Plumbing & Heating

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable + Profit Share
Location: Michael Pavis, Nottingham

Michael Pavis is the largest plumbing and heating merchant in the UK and part of UK Plumbing Supplies, the UK's largest independent plumbing and heating merchant group with more than 310 locations nationwide.

We're looking for an experienced Contracts Sales Coordinator to join our specialist sales team in Nottingham.

For this hire, we're particularly interested in people with experience in Renewable Heating, Commercial Sanitaryware or Residential Contract Sales. You don't need knowledge across all three. The area you join will depend on your existing experience, product knowledge and commercial strengths.

This is a commercial role combining contract sales, tender submissions, quotations, customer account management and project coordination. You'll work closely with customers, contractors, developers and suppliers, supporting opportunities from initial enquiry and tender through to coordinating products and deliveries throughout the project.

We're looking for someone who already understands their part of the plumbing and heating industry, can build strong customer relationships and has the commercial awareness to turn enquiries and projects into profitable sales.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage and develop relationships with contractors, developers and key contract customers.
Support new and existing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to project delivery.
Prepare and coordinate tender submissions, quotations and pricing.
Work with customers to understand project specifications, timescales and product requirements.
Identify opportunities to grow sales and develop existing customer accounts.
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to secure competitive pricing, product availability and project support.
Coordinate orders, stock requirements and delivery schedules across customer projects.
Work closely with contractors and site teams to ensure products arrive where and when they're required.
Monitor ongoing projects and identify potential stock, supply or delivery issues early.
Maintain accurate contract documentation, quotations, pricing and customer information.
Work closely with the wider Michael Pavis team to provide a joined-up service to contract customers.

Your Experience

We're open to different backgrounds within the plumbing and heating industry. For this particular hire, we're especially interested in people with experience in one of the following areas:

Renewable Heating – sales experience within renewables such as air source heat pumps, underfloor heating or related technologies.

Commercial Sanitaryware – experience selling bathroom and washroom products into commercial projects.

Residential Contract Sales – plumbing and heating sales experience working with housebuilders, developers or contractors.

What We're Looking For

Previous sales, contracts or account management experience within the plumbing and heating industry.
Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with quotations, pricing and margins.
Experience building and developing relationships with contractors, developers or trade customers.
The ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Experience preparing or supporting tenders, project quotations or larger customer proposals or a willingness to learn.
Strong organisation and attention to detail across multiple customers, quotations and projects.
Confidence working with suppliers and manufacturers on pricing and project requirements.
A proactive sales approach with the ability to identify opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Good communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
