Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your craftsmanship and technical skills to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about carpentry and construction.

Duties

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications
Construct frameworks, partitions, roofing structures, staircases, cabinetry, and other wooden fixtures with precision
Install finished carpentry elements on-site, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient workflow
Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing wooden structures or fixtures as needed
Assist with roofing tasks by installing trusses, sheathing, or other roofing components in accordance with safety standards

Experience

Proven experience in Joinery.
Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers along with power tools like drills and saws.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Previous experience working on diverse projects including residential, commercial or industrial sites is preferred
