Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant who has advanced IT skills to join our busy Academy team. This is a varied and rewarding role providing essential administrative support across multiple functions, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage assessment data within Arbor and other relevant systems, ensuring records are accurate, reliable and maintained effectively.
Produce, distribute and analyse assessment information to monitor pupil progress, identify trends and support comparison against internal and national benchmarks.
To manage the administration of all statutory tests and data submissions, ensuring that statutory information is prepared, validated and sent to the Department for Education at the appropriate points.
Running the termly Census, checking funded, extended and paid hours for EY, resolving any errors or queries, inputting data such as FSM and suspensions.
Create and maintain the school timetable on Arbor as required.
Prepare the academic year roll-up on Arbor and provide staff and pupils with timetables as appropriate.
Coordinate administration of Parents’ Evenings and update academy calendars and website.
Be part of the team that -
Provides reception and front-of-house support, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries from parents, staff and external stakeholders.
Provides administrative support across the Academy using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Arbor and other relevant systems.
Manage telephone enquiries, directing calls and taking accurate messages.
Maintain accurate pupil and parental records within Arbor.
Provide first aid support to pupils/staff and support emergency and evacuation procedures.

We are looking for someone who -

Has previous administrative experience (school environment desirable)
Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Has strong ICT skills, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, is flexible, reliable, and able to use initiative
Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Is willing to undertake training, including First Aid

Hours - 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:00pm (3:30pm on Friday)

Term time (including 5 INSET Days).

Salary - Level 2A point 3 (£12.85 per hour).

Contract - Permanent
