Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of clients by delivering personalised care with professionalism and empathy. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
Support clients in adhering to their care plans, including medication management and health monitoring as required.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
Help with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping to promote independence.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, communicating effectively with colleagues and family members as necessary.
Ensure the safety of clients by recognising potential hazards and following health and safety protocols diligently.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required, ensuring safe transportation.

Requirements

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients.
Good command of English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically.
Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
