Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.

Salary will depend on experience and there is opportunity for future progression within the business.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Aid with both food prep in the deli and restaurant.
Occassionally help with the Sandwich counter in the deli.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures when necessary.

Skills

Proficient in meal preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary practices.
Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
