Experienced Timber & Composite Decking Installer

Location: Newton Abbot, Devon (with travel to sites across the South West)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Harbron Recruit is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run business specialising in the design and installation of high-quality outdoor living solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Timber & Composite Decking Installer to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout the South West.

The Role

As a Timber & Composite Decking Installer, you will be responsible for installing bespoke decking systems to the highest standard, working both independently and as part of a professional installation team.

Key Responsibilities

Installing timber and composite decking systems.
Constructing decking subframes and supporting structures.
Installing steps, handrails, balustrades and associated features.
Measuring, setting out and interpreting site drawings.
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Working to high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Providing excellent customer service whilst working on occupied properties.

Requirements

Previous experience installing timber and composite decking is essential.
A strong background in carpentry, landscaping or external construction.
Ability to work from drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
Able to work both independently and within a team.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
CSCS Card advantageous but not essential.
