Position: Hotel Santa Claus
Location: Langham Hotel Eastbourne
Season: November & December, including Christmas Day
Hours: Flexible seasonal hours, primarily 6:00pm–8:00pm, with additional lunch events and approximately 4 hours on Christmas Day
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, warm and naturally jolly personality to become our very own Hotel Santa Claus this Christmas!
As Santa, you will play an important part in creating a magical and memorable Christmas experience for our guests, spreading festive cheer throughout the hotel and helping to make their stay extra special.
This is a fun and engaging role for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, making others smile and getting into the Christmas spirit!
Key Responsibilities
- Bring the magic of Christmas to life throughout the hotel.
- Meet and warmly engage with our guests, both young and old.
- Hand out Christmas gifts to guests during evening visits, primarily between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
- Attend selected Christmas lunch and festive events to interact with guests and help create a wonderful atmosphere.
- Take part in approximately 4 hours of festive activity on Christmas Day.
- Pose for photographs with guests where appropriate.
- Create friendly, memorable interactions while always maintaining a professional and welcoming approach.
- Work closely with the hotel team to ensure Santa visits run smoothly.
- Maintain the character and spirit of Santa throughout your time with guests.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Naturally friendly, cheerful and approachable.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with people of all ages.
- Warm, patient and able to make guests feel welcome.
- Comfortable interacting with families, couples, groups and older guests.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Happy to embrace the role and really get into the spirit of Christmas!
- Ideally confident performing in front of groups and posing for photographs.
- Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, performing or working with the public would be advantageous, but personality is more important than experience.

You don't need to be a professional actor — we're looking for someone with the right personality, warmth and enthusiasm to make our guests believe they have met the real Santa!
A good sense of humour, a great smile and the ability to make people feel special are essential.

Pay: From £14.53 per hour
